+ Electrical Foreman/Woman

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control daily operations including completion of work scope, ensuring the use of company OHS policies and procedures, and on-site inventory management
  • Responsible for working with Project Managers, Field Operations Manager and Forepersons to create project specific work packages including approved submittals and wiring layouts
  • Support the maintenance of the project schedule by:
    • Coordinating required labor with the Project Manager, Site Foreperson & the HR Coordinator.
    • Ensuring advanced ordering of required B material
    • Projecting and requesting release of lot material, with the Project Manager
    • Reviewing / enter time sheets

Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Red Seal electrical ticket
  • B FSR (preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of CEC
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • 5 years of experience leading successful electrical multi-family-residential and commercial construction projects
  • Intermediate demonstrable skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Blue Beam.
  • Experience in all other electrical fields are an asset

Applicants should have experience with:

  • Multi family / Multi buildings
  • Leading teams up to 40 workers throughout the rough in and finishing process
  • Reading blueprints and specifications
  • Organization of site material and workers
  • Planning and coordination of B Materials
  • Understanding the RFI and change order process

+ Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of a project, including, but not limited to:

  • Project start-up, close-out
  • Scheduling
  • Managing workers
  • Coordination with other trades, contractors, and owners
  • Strong understanding of the CEC, FSR preferred.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Electrician Read Seal, a Skilled Trades BC Transcript or a starter seeking Apprenticeship
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellant problem solving, attendion to detail, communication nad interpersonal skills

+ General Labourer

Aurora Electric is looking to hire a General Labourer to complete manual tasks and support operations in worksites. This position has the potential to start an apprentice within the electrical trade.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads of up to 50lbs etc.)
  • Material Handling (handling and transporting materials)
  • Inventory organization
  • Perform site clean-up, waste disposal and recycling activities
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
  • Commitment to safety rules and polices and report all violations immediately to supervision
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Ready to learn on the job training when necessary

+ Administrative

Responsibilities:

  • Support to bookkeeping procedures
  • Track and order office supplies
  • Support Payroll, time tracking activities and group benefits
  • Employee orientations and system set up
  • Assist team members with various tasks

Requirements:

  • Present a positive and professional impression
  • Strong organization skills, must be able to multitask and use time efficiently
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and use discretion
  • Must have the legal ability to work in Canada

Experience:

1-3 years experience in an administrative role, preferably in the construction industry experience using Sage 100 Contractor and SafetyAdmin preferred, however willing to train the right candidate. Knowledge of construction safety preferred.
